Iliana Lavastida | President
Iliana Lavastida Rodríguez holds a Bachelor's degree in Journalism from Havana International University, as well as postgraduate studies in other areas of Communications. With over 15 years of professional experience in South Florida, she has established herself as a leading voice in the industry, with a reputation for her professionalism, dedication, and unwavering commitment to journalistic integrity.
Prior to joining our organization, Iliana worked for El Nuevo Herald, where she gained extensive experience covering a wide range of topics, from politics and current events to arts and culture. She has a keen eye for detail and a knack for bringing complex issues to life through compelling storytelling.
She is also a senior journalist and the Executive Director at Diario Las Américas.
Jorge Daall | Vice President
Jorge R. Daall is an experienced Director and President with a background in finance and auditing. He has held leadership positions at Grupo Mezerhane, including President of Seguros Federal, S.A. and Director of all companies within the financial group. Jorge is currently the Director of Las Americas Multimedia Group LLC, which operates Diario Las Americas in Miami, Florida. He holds a degree in Public Accounting from the Central University of Venezuela and is fluent in both English and Spanish.
He is also a consultant at Grupo Mezerhane.
